Screen Degauss / Purity

If the screen has wrong coloured area's sort of shaded , this is purity
It can be caused by a fault in the tube(crt) , but unless its a SONY (they do this alot)
or a normal tube thats been dropped,
thats unlikely.

So next probable cause is degauss( Demagnetise)
Each time you switch on the power , the degauss circuit comes into operation,
It consists of a posistor and a coil wrapped around the outside of the tube(crt) face, It only works once each time the set is powered up, (NOT standby)

Do you unplug the TV at night ? , if not then, do so tonight (or for at least 20mins)
if that doesn't cure it,
Make sure you have nothing magnetic near the set (speakers etc) and look inside the set for a coil that runs round the tube face and connects with two wires to the pcb, this connects to a two or three legged device about the size of a sugar lump change that.
