. . . . . . East West Raster Control
There are two main types of East/West raster Circuits
both work by modulating the current which goes through the scan coils,by adding a signal from the vertical ciruit to the control tranistor, which inturn modulates the current through the scan coils, which alters the width(line) scan as it moves vertically.
There are usually three controls, width.trampesium, pincusion

With type 1 EW Raster control disconnecting the collector of the control transistor, causes low width with inwould bent sides at screen middle, a bit like a womans waist.
Type 2 E/W Raster the control transistors are often in a Chip, since they have a transductor(Tranformer) so the current thru the transistor can be much smaller.
Both types are very prone to bad joints, so resolder everything near the loptr (line output transistor), and check all coils in the area, lots have small fusible resistors on the line to the control transistor, so look out for them.
Still stuck then down load the tv database and look through all the models of your make
and see what normally goes faulty on that make of tv.
Makers tend to follow the same basic design on every model.
